"Communications professional and climate advocate passionate about climate policy, sustainability education, storytelling, and community-driven environmental impact across Nigeria."

The Story

Rachel Fidelis is a communications professional, climate advocate, and sustainability educator dedicated to advancing climate awareness, environmental justice, and community-centered impact initiatives across Nigeria.

Based in Abuja, Rachel combines strategic communications, digital storytelling, and advocacy to amplify conversations around climate action, sustainable development, and inclusive environmental governance. She is the Founder and Executive Director of EcoCulture 360 Initiative, a climate literacy and sustainability-focused nonprofit committed to promoting environmental education and sustainable culture within communities.

Rachel’s work focuses heavily on climate storytelling and policy communication, particularly around issues such as waste management, climate justice, circular economy systems, and youth-driven climate action. Through documentaries, campaigns, and community projects, she uses media as a tool to educate, inspire, and mobilize action toward a more sustainable future.

Her advocacy journey has been shaped through fellowships, leadership programs, and grassroots climate engagement initiatives, including participation in the UN SDSN Youth - Nigeria Fellowship and climate communication programs focused on media-driven environmental justice.

Rachel is especially passionate about ensuring underserved communities are included in conversations around climate governance and sustainability. Her work often highlights the intersection between environmental challenges, public health, policy implementation, and social equity.

Beyond advocacy, she is also deeply interested in leadership development, public communication, community engagement, and helping eco-friendly brands and organizations communicate their impact more effectively through digital strategy and storytelling.

Her recent environmental initiatives include community tree-planting projects across the Federal Capital Territory aimed at encouraging long-term sustainability, environmental restoration, and community participation in climate action.
